The bay of Pen-Bé and its beach

The Bay of Pen-Bé is popular for mussel farming, but also for its many beaches. Pen-Bé is made up of six beaches, the best known of which is called “La baie des Dames”. It’s a small beach of fine sand, protected from the wind and accessible by stairs, ideal for swimming.

This bay is one of the most important spots on the shellfish route. At each tide, fishermen stroll among the rocks and fill their baskets with mussels, clams or cockles.

Nearby Pont Mahé Bay is a treasure trove for windsurfers and kitesurfers. With its small bay and large sandbank, it’s a dream location for water sports.

The bay has an ideal south-westerly orientation, so it receives all the prevailing winds. Both on land and in the water, the bay’s unspoilt landscape reveals all its colors and provides an unforgettable sensation.
